Well here it is. In all its 8GB Glory.

Been holding it for about a week, can’t say its perfect (alot of features we take for granted in our conventional phones are missing here), but its such a beauty to carry around. I’d really wanna thank God for answering my prayer, not only for a new phone, but the best phone I can have now.

It was really God-timed cause

1. God challenged me the week before this in my tithe and offering and by faith I obeyed
2. The iPhone was more of a want than a need, the week before I was always drooling over pictures of the iPhone and its features. But I never made anything out of it. Seriously.
3. It was free-of-charge! Dad actually bought it for himself but he realized it was too complicated of a phone than he wanted it to be. I benefit!!
4. I got it just in time before the dreaded 1.1.1 firmware patch which rendered the phone totally useless. If Dad bought it; lets say, a week later, it would have come with the new firmware and theres no way (currently) to crack it for use in Singapore.

Yeah, so really felt blessed. Help me will ya all? If you see me around say hi to me, would really love to add your face + number to my iPhone list!!

P.S. Somebody told me this device is a chick-magnet. I don’t know want I’m doing wrong but it hasn’t worked. At all.

Anyway, I went searching for screen protector today at Tampines (side note : DO NOT GO TO SIM LIM, one guy quoted me $35 for a screen protector. Yes, $35 for a thin piece of plastic.) and got it for $10, without it I felt like I was carrying a valuable painting without a frame to protect it.

I also bought this duo-tone iSock knockoff to carry my precious in, looks official enough; as long it does the job I’m happy.

Took it home and compared it with my other home-made carry cases. Take a gander.

Another comics great has just passed away, I’m sorry if I’m abit late but just heard about Mike’s passing not too long ago, he wasn’t one of my favorite artists but his art style is certainly unique and his iconic work can’t be missed; hes worked on Spider-man, Fantastic Four and the Flash. Godspeed Mike, where ever you are.

Ah. I really thank God my dad is a comic collector.

Yes, I have all the finest literature in the house.

I’ve just declared Friday as my Comic Book day, cause its usually when I have free time just to catch up with the comic book universes (and also when Dad brings back a bag load of funny books).

Currently I’m quite picky with the comics I read, but heres a list of what i’m reading off the top of my head

Marvel

Astonishing X-men – Joss Whedon’s 1st Arc was brilliant, and Cassaday’s art is beautiful. Nuff’ said

New Avengers – Not really into Lenil Yu’s art, but the current story arc is interesting

Incredible Hulk – Hulk SMASH! Anything with Hulk is awesome now following the “Planet Hulk” storyline. Just showed the Hulk in a very different light.

Runaways – Ok I pirated it, but that doesn’t underline its literary value.

D.C. Comics

All-Star Superman – You’ve got to give it to Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely, they’ve really made all those cheezy stories with Superman cool again. Don’t believe me? See the current arc with Planet Bizarro! (It made me a believer.)

CountDown – B-list characters? Check. Twisty-twisty plot? Check. All round awesomeness? Check.
